David George began playing drums at age 12 in the school marching band and jazz stage band.

Only a year later, at age 13, he began his professional career when he joined a popular California-based band called The American Express. Soon after, the band appeared on The Jerry Lewis Telethon, where David showed his skills with a featured drum solo of "Wipeout."

"Yeah, I played it like at least twice the speed, just because that was kind of the thing to do at the time," he laughingly recalled. "I even got my picture in the newspaper."

David has played in and recorded with a variety of bands including The Splatters, but most notably, with Latin Rock band Malo since 1992.

Known for his solid time-keeping, hard rock edge, and crisp, innovative rhythms, David’s drumming stylishly locked into place with MANZO’s new sound of Latin Rock.

“This is great band of all excellent musicians,” David said of MANZO.
“I’m glad to be a part of it.”
